So, I thought I found a programming glitch — in other words, a “pricing error” — and I was super excited to show you how to get Panera Sip Club for five months for under 18 bucks total. I had everything set up, hit record, and then went in for the big reveal… but it completely flopped. There was no way to test it before going live, so, that’s the way the ball bounces, but don’t worry, I’m still going to show you how to get the Sip Club for 3 months for free.
That intro out of the way, if you’re not familiar, Panera’s Sip Club is a monthly subscription service that lets you drink all the fountain drinks, coffees (hot or iced), and teas (hot or iced) you want — one drink every two hours — for one flat monthly fee. It’s a fantastic deal if you’re going by Panera regularly or if you’re just a coffee/tea/Mountain Dew fanatic who wants constant refills.
When it came time for me to re-up my subscription, I came across what looked like a programming glitch on Panera’s site that I thought was going to give me $5.99 (plus tax) for the first month, then two free months, followed by more months at $5.99. Altogether, it seemed like I could get the Sip Club for five months and pay less than $18 total. Feeling pretty sure it would work as I was reading what was in front of me plain as day, I tried it out live on camera.
After logging in with my Panera account, I clicked “Rejoin Now” and entered the “magic” promo code. The site updated to show the first payment would be $6.50 ($5.99 + tax), and it said the next payment wouldn’t happen until May 29th, three months from now. That meant it was doing one month at $5.99, then giving the two free months which were supposed to only be for new customers, then it was resuming the $5.99 charges. I clicked “Start My Subscription” and refreshed, thinking it was all good, but things changed behind the scenes. I realized it didn’t actually give me the deal I thought it would, the deal that it seemingly said it was going to on the purchase page.
So, I pivoted, and before I decided to address my situation itself, I offered up a three free months promo code in the video.
While I was licking my wounds about the video that didn’t go right, I tried another code on the now active Panera Sip Club account, and that code gave me a discounted rate for the upcoming next three months. All in all, I ended up paying $6.50 for the current month and then it’ll be $2.99 (plus tax) for the next three months. One refresh later, my screen confirmed $3.24 per month for those 3 months. That’s less than the cost of one drink at Panera and I get to sip all I want!
Deals come and go, and sometimes they work out perfectly and sometimes they don’t. If you’re new to Panera Sip Club, you can still get two free months just by signing up right now, which is a great way to see if you love it. If you’re returning, go for the three free months code or try one of these promo codes:
In any case, I hope you enjoy sipping away on all those refills without breaking the bank, and if you find another Panera secret, definitely let me know!
